We started this tattoo school in 2003, in a small converted garage in the country.
There were turkeys calling, horses grazing and even a bear sighted behind the shop.
My good friend Susan, asked me to teach her how to tattoo. It was such a great experience for the both of us that the rest, we can say, is history.
At The Tattoo Learning Center tattoo school, we believe the more you give, the more you get. We especially love to share information and insight in an industry that is not known for its support.
Honestly though, we never imagined this little “garage” tattoo shop would morph into 3 schools and growing!
We have a fantastic staff and have met unbelievable people along the way.
We now have good friends (former students) in Israel, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Iceland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Guatemala, Canada, Scotland, Ireland and Sweden as well as across the USA.
We are more than proud to say that we have “watered the seeds” of many outrageously talented artists that have gone on to be successful, respected, published tattoo artists in the field.

Our most successful ingredient is our staff.
They truly make us what we are. Our staff is made up of hand-picked artists that share the same passion for tattooing, but also a desire to share and help others. They are talented, funny and extremely patient.
And they are all graduates of The Tattoo Learning Center at one time or another.
When students come to TLC they are treated like family. Our staff goes above and beyond to make sure all the students are satisfied and happy.
This safe, family environment is why our students are able to learn so much in a relatively short time period.
The atmosphere of both schools is fun, friendly and soaked in tattoo passion and art appreciation.
The TLC goal for our students is to graduate empowered with not only a new skill, but a dash of motivation and lots of inspiration to go out and make something happen in their lives.
